Types of Bernedoodles
F1 Mini Bernedoodles
The F1 Bernedoodle is the product of a purebred Bernese and purebred Poodle. Their size will depend on the size of the parent poodle. A mini or medium Bernedoodle will come from a smaller dad 20-55 lbs, and a regular bernedoodle will come from a standard size poodle dad, 60-75lbs. The F1 is a first generation of these two breeds which produces hybrid vigor with enhanced health, growth and increased vitality.
F1B Mini Bernedoodles
The F1b Bernedoodle is when a purebred Bernese is bred with a mini bernedoodle F1. This created a 25% poodle 75% bernese cross. These Berendoodles are smaller than the F1, have likely low to no shedding and have more poodle characteristics than Bernese with a typically curlier coat. They also possess hybrid vigor and with their small size live long healthy lives.
F1BB Ultra Bernedoodles
This is a new and highly desired cross breed using an F1b Bernedoodle stud and a purebred Bernese producing a 63% Bernese 37% Poodle cross with puppies having high levels of the loveable Bernese characteristics while maintaining the low shedding coat of a poodle. These puppies also have the hybrid vigor of the cross breed, are stockier like a Bernese and have wavy coats that are low shedding. With the Ultra you are getting the closest possible Bernedoodle to a Pure Bred Bernese while still enjoying the low shedding coat. The size of these Ultras entirely depend on the stud.
